In this demonstration Alan explains watercolour techniques from wet into wet combined with dry brushing techniques. He shows you how he simplifies the subject into shapes and shows you the colours he uses and types of brushes. Alan explains the painting process starting from a light wash to changing colours and tones then to the finished painting.
Alan Ramachandran is a multi award winner in his medium of watercolour. Since mograting to Adelaide in 2007, he has won about fifteen top awards and sixty combined awards. He has had five solo exhibitions and four group exhibitions. Being a finalist in the Waterhouse Natural History Art Prizes was a highlight in 2002 and a finalist in the Pro Hart landscape Art Prize 2017, Fleurieu Art Prize and Adelaide Hills landscape Art Prize 2017 & 2018. Presently he conducts watercolour classes, workshops for art societies and art demonstrations at Rotary Art Shows and art societies.
