Her detailed compositions draw attention to the beauty and vulnerability of species that have evolved in isolation over millions of years.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor Proo Geddes, the environment has been a lifelong presence. Her experiences have included working to protect threatened wildlife and helping create feral-proof mainland sanctuaries. Since retirement, painting has become a way of expressing those experiences, observations and emotions.
