Renowned Adelaide artist, Bill McSwain will teach drawing skills and techniques from his wealth of knowledge and experience in the art world in a 10-week course to be held at Atelier Crafers from 7pm-9pm every Monday night from April 29 through to July1.
Students will receive individual attention and quality outcomes and will learn all aspects of the art of drawing over the course of a term. This will include portraiture, figure drawing, landscape, perspective, architecture and more. The tricks of the trade will be covered, as well as application of composition, line, shading and texture.
Cost is $350 for 10 week course.
As an artist and ceramicist, Bill McSwain’s work is featured both here and overseas. He has featured in solo exhibitions in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
During his extensive career, Bill travelled to Europe and Great Britain, working and teaching in Scotland and painting at the National Gallery of London, Old Masters. He completed a teaching degree on his return to Australia, subsequently teaching art in Victoria and South Australia, in both public and private schools and adult education institutions.
Bill has also taught drawing and painting at T.A.F.E and curriculum studies to primary and secondary teachers at Sturt C.A.E. After travelling to and living in the South Pacific, he worked as an art teacher in Nauru and Kiribati.
