Oil painting: Landscapes, with Erica McNicol: Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 10 AM – 4 PM
Hosted by Atelier Crafers, 1 Cox Place, Crafers
Erica McNicol will take you from a concept to the foundations of a landscape whilst showing you how to bring the best out of its light and colour in an impressionist style. You will learn vital tips and techniques in composition; foundation painting and much more to bring your work to life.
Bring your favourite landscape photo/image or use one of Erica’s as your subject matter. By the end of the class, you will have the basis to complete your painting.
Erica has drawn and painted from youth and now expresses her talents in painting, enamelling and textiles. She also works in the art room of a prominent high school in Adelaide and is often called upon by the teachers to demonstrate and teach senior students colour mixing and brush stroke techniques.

(Personal favourites I like to use, along with these, are: Indian Yellow, Cerulean Blue and Magenta--but, I recommend a
limited pallet, so not too many colours please.)
You will also need a tube of Titanium or Flake white. I do not use black and will explain why during the workshop.

*Palette knife (not essential)
*Couple of rags or paper towel
