Meet at 9.30am at Atelier Crafers, where you can order a coffee and pick up a pre-ordered lunch and cool drink for an additional $12.95; a roll with choice of salad, cheese and salad or ham and salad, plus a choice of juice, flavoured mineral water or soft drink or water. (Please pre-order this by November 17). We will then drive up to the upper carpark of the gardens to make our way to a bushland setting.
This plein air workshop demonstrates the unique qualities of painting a landscape out in the open, using the natural light available. It will include understanding and controlling your brushwork; the control of watercolour and watercolour techniques; and understanding tonal values in one and two colours. Using a step-by-step approach in composition, tonal value and colour selection you will be able to paint using a limited palette to create a mood in your paintings. It will prepare you to plan, choose your own palette and paint on your own.
