$490 for seven weeks, each Wednesday; 10am-1 pm. Lunch and beverages are available to purchase all day from our licensed cafe.

This course, hosted by Robin Hicks, covers the fundamental techniques of watercolour for various effects such as clouds, water, texture and more, as well as brushwork techniques and colour mixing. A number of genres will be covered each week.

Experimenting with watercolour mixes and various techniques is loads of fun and the possibilities are endless to create exciting works of art in landscapes, seascapes, streetscapes, still life and more.

The aim of the classes is to build confidence and explore your creativity resulting in finished artworks.

**MATERIALS LIST**
*One sheet of cold press (medium) 300gsm watercolour paper approximately 76cm x 56cm already cut into four pieces before the class, or a watercolour pad. Arches, Canson or Fabriano are good brands but any you prefer is fine.
*One size 10 or 12 non-synthetic, synthetic mix or synthetic brush suitable for watercolours
*One - one inch or one and a half-inch hake brush
*One backing board to stick your paper to.
*One drawing pad or loose paper to sketch on.
*A minimum of watercolour paints, including at least one red, one yellow and one blue and an earth colour. Preferably all of the list below:
Cobalt blue
Ultramarine Blue
Cadmium red
Alizarin
Cadmium yellow
Lemon yellow
Burnt umber
Burnt sienna
Yellow ochre

Robin will have all material supplies as back up, plus some tubes of paint for sale.

Full payment at time of booking is essential. Fees are non refundable unless classes are cancelled by the tutor for reasons of minimum numbers not being met, or other reason provided. Check costs at time of booking as they are subject to change without notice. Materials are not included unless stated. Classes will be cancelled if a catastrophic fire warning has been issued.

Where can I park?

Atelier Crafers is on Cox Place, Crafers – directly behind the BP service station on Main Street.

Parking is available at the tennis courts on Sharrod Court at the rear of Atelier Crafers and on the kerb opposite Atelier Crafers. We ask that you do not park in the car parks designated as private or in other people’s driveways.

An accessible parking space is available at the front of Atelier Crafers for those who have a disabled parking permit.

Bus routes run up the freeway regularly to the Crafers park n ride and the Main Street of Crafers.

Where can I buy coffee and food?

We have a licensed café that will be available before, during and after your workshop.
