Meranti (Shorea)
After seeing many different Phoenix images,, Henry decided to try his hand at sculpturing but only using his preferred, medium of timber. The Meranti timber was rescued from a neighbour's firewood pile. The base is made from Radiata Pine (Pinus Radiata). The piece is finished with three coats of Danish oil.
