Collection: Cathi Steer

Cathi was born Catherine Heysen in Penola and grew up on a farm, thus influencing her art with a love of landscape, animals and the play of light. A move to Adelaide in her teens introduced  her to an interest in figure painting and portraiture, including studying under Robert Hannaford. Travel inspired her to broaden her subject matter to painting streetscapes with the aim of recapturing the experiences of new and different places.
