Three Piece Chiisana set
Set Fused, cold-worked and kiln-formed iridescent glass, inlaid with glass stringer. The actual surface is quite smooth and matte; the inlay has been pushed into the iridescent coating by 'flip fusing' face down on a specially prepared kiln shelf. The inlay glass is transparent amber, and the iridescence of the base glass glows up through each black line. Fused blanks are cold-polished before final kiln-forming; although small, the steep-sided bowls require forming in multiple steps.
