Myriad of Spikes and Voids
Black Box (Eucalyptus largiflorens)
Recently council workers cut down a Black Box trea in my area. I managed to rescue a number of small logs from the lurking mulching machine. The blank was first turned. hollow formed and sanded both inside and outside surfaces. I then painstakingly completely marked out all the spikes, shapes and voids. After this I fastidiously pierced, carves and sanded all the remaining surfaces. Polished with four coats of Danish oil.
