Hildesheim Rose Spoon Ring
Crafted from an original vintage spoon designed in 1919 by German silversmith Christoph Widmann, our Hildesheim Rose Ring is a romantic fusion of history, craftsmanship, and natural beauty.
The design was inspired by the Rose of Hildesheim—a thousand-year-old wild dog rose that still climbs the stone walls of Hildesheim Cathedral in Germany. Surviving war and ruin, the rose bloomed again after WWII from its living roots, and today it is considered one of the oldest surviving roses in the world.
This ring captures the essence of that story. Each petal is richly detailed, wrapping around the finger like a blooming rose in silver. Handmade in the Adelaide Hills, it is a piece steeped in heritage and symbolic meaning—resilience, renewal, and the quiet strength of beauty that endures.
