Upcycled Damask Table cloth Jacket
This is a one-of-a-kind garment made from a vintage poly/cotton damask table cloth. By repurposing this materials, we reduce waste and preserve history, while embracing sustainable fashion.
The textile design is created in Liz Wauchope's studio, hand-dyed with Indigo using an Itajime (folded & clamped) Shibori technique which creates these striking 'Tribal' pattern over the fabric.
Arashi is the Japanese term for “storm.” It's also known as the pole-wrapping technique because it involves wrapping fabric around a pole (or PVC pipe). The results are beautiful, often resembling water waves.
