The shawl features the distinctive Estonian lace technique known as nupps — small, raised bobble-like accents worked into the knitting to create texture, rhythm and beautiful visual detail. Combined with flowing lace motifs and delicate openwork, the nupps give the shawl wonderful depth and character.
