Eucalypt Burl Diamond- shaped Key Tray
Beautifully unusual in both form and timber, this handcrafted Eucalypt burl key tray is a striking combination of natural character and thoughtful design.
Created by Adelaide Hills woodturner Neil Strong, the tray has been made from a burl growth carefully removed from a local gum tree without harming the tree itself.
The timber features a fascinating landscape of golden, amber and reddish-brown tones, with intricate burl markings and natural variations across its surface.
The distinctive diamond-shaped outline frames a smoothly turned circular recess, creating a beautiful contrast between the angular outer shape and softer central form.
Generously sized, this tray makes an appealing decorative statement while providing a practical place for keys and other small personal belongings.
