Sculptured bowl
Red Flowering Gum (Corymbia ficifolia)
From a piece of Red Flowering Gum that I salvaged from a wood pile, I first turned a hollow form bowl. I then marked out a series of different curved shapes with cavities. After cutting, carving and sanding the shapes, I added texture to the outside curves to further highlight all the shapes. The whole piece was finished with Danish Oil.
Measures 14cmH, 15 diam at opening.
