Blue Gum Plate
Simple, elegant and full of natural warmth, this handcrafted Blue Gum plate celebrates the understated beauty of Australian native timber.
Created by Adelaide Hills woodturner Neil Strong from rescued and recycled Blue Gum (Eucalyptus leucoxylon), the plate features warm honey and reddish-brown tones with softly flowing natural grain.
Its broad, gently sloping rim frames a shallow central surface, enhanced by a delicate decorative circular detail that adds a subtle finishing touch.
With its smooth finish and beautifully balanced proportions, this versatile piece is equally suited to decorative display or serving.
A lovely example of contemporary Australian woodturning that allows the timber's natural character to shine.
