Eucalypt Burl Oblong Key Tray with Natural Edge
A wonderful celebration of nature's imperfections, this handcrafted Eucalypt burl key tray combines beautifully figured timber with a striking natural edge.
Made by Adelaide Hills woodturner Neil Strong from burl growth sourced from a local gum tree, this distinctive piece retains part of the timber's original irregular outer edge, creating a lovely contrast with its carefully shaped and polished surfaces.
Golden and honey-coloured burl grain surrounds a rich reddish-brown circular recess, while knots and organic markings add exceptional character.
The combination of natural and refined finishes gives this piece an earthy, sculptural quality.
Ideal for a hall table, desk or sideboard, it offers a beautiful place for keys and everyday treasures while also standing alone as a small work of timber art.
